چکیده
Ultrafast 2D-IR spectroscopy is a powerful tool for understanding the and dynamics of biological molecules in solution phase. A number recent studies have begun to explore utility information-rich spectra analytical applications. Here, we report application ultrafast detection classification bacterial spores. Bacillus atrophaeus thuringiensis spores as dry films on CaF2 windows were obtained. The sporulated nature bacteria was confirmed using diagonal off-diagonal peaks arising from calcium dipicolinate CaDP·3H2O biomarker sporulation. Distinctive peaks, protein amide I region spectrum used differentiate two types spore. identified marker modes demonstrate potential use methods direct means spore classification. We discuss these new results perspective with current state measurements, showing that exists apply detect surfaces suspensions well films. how applying screening methodologies would enable creation library purposes.

Ultrafast 2D IR vibrational echo spectroscopy.
The experimental technique and applications of ultrafast two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) vibrational echo spectroscopy are presented. Using ultrashort infrared pulses and optical heterodyne detection to provide phase information, unique information can be obtained about the dynamics, interactions, and structures of molecular systems. The form and time evolution of the 2D IR spectrum permits ex...
متن کاملA relaxation-assisted 2D IR spectroscopy method.
A method of two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) spectroscopy called relaxation-assisted 2D IR (RA 2DIR) is proposed that utilizes vibrational energy relaxation transport in molecules to enhance cross-peak amplitudes. This method substantially increases the range of distances accessible by 2D IR and is capable of identifying long-range connectivity patterns in molecules. RA 2DIR is illustrated in i...
متن کاملIntroduction to Protein 2D IR Spectroscopy
Proteins are molecules that behave in beautiful and astounding ways in the course of their biological function, and all biological processes involve protein conformational changes. These processes might be enzyme catalysis, transport and signaling, dynamic scaffolding for structures, charge transfer, or mechanical or electrical energy transduction. Our view of such processes is colored by the m...
متن کامل2D IR Spectroscopy of Histidine: Probing Side-Chain Structure and Dynamics via Backbone Amide Vibrations
It is well known that histidine is involved in many biological functions due to the structural versatility of its side chain. However, probing the conformational transitions of histidine in proteins, especially those occurring on an ultrafast time scale, is difficult. Herein we show, using a histidine dipeptide as a model, that it is possible to probe the tautomer and protonation status of a hi...
متن کامل2D IR spectroscopy of high-pressure phases of ice.
We present experimental and simulated 2D IR spectra of some high-pressure forms of isotope-pure D2O ice and compare the results to those of ice Ih published previously [F. Perakis and P. Hamm, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 14, 6250 (2012); L. Shi et al., ibid. 18, 3772 (2016)]. Ice II, ice V, and ice XIII have been chosen for this study, since this selection covers many aspects of the polymorphism of...
